Sven Väth rarely shares sets, so on the occasions where he does, they're worth savouring.
We had the honour of being in attendance when this one took place. In fact, amongst the team we're pretty unanimous in agreeing it was one of the parties of last summer. For anybody who wasn't at the sold out Las Dalias, now you get to decide for yourself.
Recorded at the height of the season on 4 August, Sven has made public part of his set from the first Catharsis party.
This one and a half hour excerpt from the outdoor leg of that fabled night includes music from DJ Koze, Mr Tophat, Damiano von Erckert and a pre-sunset classic from Frankie Knuckles.
Over the weekend, Sven posted his touring schedule for the first half 2023. To our delight, his list of dates including two return visits to Las Dalias before the middle of the year.
The first takes place just five days after Time Warp DE at the start of Easter weekend. Bookmark Maundy Thursday 6 April for a party that could well be the metaphoric curtain-raiser to summer. A follow-up date is also in the diary for Thursday 1 June. We are thrilled.
Last Easter proved to be an exciting time on the party front.
Las Dalias and Akasha had a full weekend programme, while Eden booked Detlef and Sidney Charles and Keep On Dancing took over neighbours Es Paradis. Plus there was the free beach party, La Movida, in San Antonio.
Even though Easter falls a little earlier this year, the desire to extend the season is contagious and we suspect more things will be announced. La Movida is already confirmed for Saturday 8 April (Easter Saturday). Let's manifest a juicy Easter programme.
