Gallery: Captured Festival takes over Benimussa Park

Trance euphoria in a natural haven.

Those of us who have worked seasons in Ibiza before, can always tell when trance week rolls around. Suddenly, the island seems more energetic as committed fans of the euphoric genre arrive and hit the various Balearic sanctuaries.

Whilst there are a number of nocturnal parties supplying fast-paced beats to these excitable visitors on offer, few compare to Captured Festival. The two-dayer at Benimussa Park always manages to captivate.

Taking over the former zoo for a full weekend, the organisers poured passion and love into every detail. Each of the venue's stages was transformed with dazzling visual set-ups.

On top of this, Captured booked the very best trance and progressive DJs to blow the minds of those on the dance floor. New school heroes like Giuseppe Ottaviani, Will Atkinson and John Askew were present, alongside scene icons such as Ferry Corsten and Binary Finary.

Now in its seventh consecutive year, this incredible weekender heightened the senses of the trance family, as they enjoyed beautiful melodies, spine-tingling vocals and spacey baselines. We went along to capture the magic - check out the best photos below.

Open-air Captured Festival was the peak of Ibiza Trance Week, an event that also included boat parties, after parties and Gareth Emery's return to Amnesia with Laserface.

Whilst that's trance's annual foray on Ibiza over for another year, you can still find trance music on the island at parties like SHINE at Eden or Armin Van Buuren at Hï. Head over to our party calendar to find out more.
