On 30th March this year, the old market just at the bottom of the ramp leading up to Dalt Vila, Ibiza was positively transformed with the launch of Natural Is.

The idea came about when Ibiza Town's Tourism Councillor, Nacho Rodrigo, became concerned that many of the original stalls were dwindling off, leaving the area prone to more "dubious" goings-on. His friend, Alex Reyners, former Talent Manager at Atzaro Ibiza, suggested a healing market and the organisers of the hugely successful Healing Ibiza Day were contacted…and Natural Is was born.

Open every Saturday from 10.30 - 14.30, Natural Is offers something for everyone. Free activities include Tai Chi and Qi Gong, Yoga, Pilates, a Kids' Area and a Swap Market. There is also a Therapists' Tent offering various holistic treatments such as massage, Reiki and reflexology, and around fifteen stalls selling locally grown fruit and vegetables, carob, Ibiza honey and other organic homemade produce.

Spinning tunes on the decks are DJs Kareem, Nikos and Caroline and there is also live music and dancing…including an Aboriginal band.

Natural Is Market, Dalt Vila, Ibiza - Therapy by donation

From Saturday 4th May, the animal charity, Cuatro Patas, will be present with a selection of dogs and cats who need re-homing. The idea is two-fold; find the shelter animals a loving home, and also provide an opportunity for people in Ibiza who may find themselves with unwanted pets to hand them over to the charity with no questions asked.

On Sunday 5th May, the mighty Healing Ibiza Day itself takes place at Atzaro Agroturismo and, as always, promises to be a spectacular event. The Therapists' Hall provides a wide range of holistic treatments, from Bowen Technique to Reconnective Healing, with Oracle Readers, Speakers and Workshops throughout the day, and Yoga and Tai Chi all available on a donation basis.

Live music and dancing, stalls and healthy refreshments can be enjoyed all day, and this year sees the introduction of a new Meditation Tipi. There are plenty of creative activities for the children in the well organised and imaginative Kids Area, including story-telling and making dreamcatchers.

With a suggested entry donation of €10, all proceeds from Healing Ibiza Day, after costs, will go to APNEEF, a non profit organisation supporting children on Ibiza and Formentera with special needs.
