It's been one of San Antonio's best-known sights for years and now it's being officially adopted as a symbol of the town. The famous sunset which can be seen over the islands out to sea from the town will feature heavily in the publicity San Antonio will take to the important FITUR travel trade fair in Madrid this week. A specially made DVD will feature the spectacular sunsets that have made the area of chillout bars known as Sunset strip a point of pilgrimage for thousands of young people.
So important has this area now become that the council are on the point of changing the plans for a new sports harbour in the area which would detract from the view, and moving it round the corner, next to the existing pleasure cruiser berths.
