Anybody who wants to leave the island in the days immediately before Christmas or New Year will be disappointed to learn that all tickets have now almost sold out.
Apart from a few tickets on the ferries to Barcelona there is virtually no way, apart from perhaps stowing away, of leaving the island. There is practically nothing left on ferries to Denia, even with 2000 places available every day, and the planes are full, apart from a few seats in the millionaires rows at the front.
The rush for tickets happens every year as thousands of people whose origins are on the peninsula return to visit family in the holiday season.
