The beach

Set in a small cove, Cala Xuclar has to be one of the last get-away-from-it-all beaches on the island. A very small beach with the clearest of water, it's easy to lose oneself exploring or sunbathing in this private spot, which is rarely busy even in peak season.

The beach has mostly pebbles, only at the back you'll find some sand, interspersed with stones. It is difficult to get a parasol into the hard ground, so people try to pile stones around the shaft. However, the result is unlikely to withstand the wind, so take plenty of sun cream!

The seabed is rocky and thus the entrance into the water a bit difficult, so we recommend taking bathing shoes. Nevertheless, the water is wonderfully clear and perfect for snorkelling

There are fishermans' huts and rocks to scramble on with peace & tranquility in a timeless other world. The surrounding area is also great for walks.

Beach bars and restaurants

There is a small beach restaurant offering fresh fish - it is quite pricey but very popular; in high season it is recommended to reserve a table. They are open till late and also offer cocktails - perfect for a sundowner.

Nearby accommodation

In the nearby resort Portinatx you will find a good choice of hotels and apartments. And in the beautiful North of the island there are also many private holiday villas - for a relaxing holiday with friends or family.
