Benirrás Sunday sunset excursion

Go and see the legendary drummers at Benirrás beach with Aquabus each Sunday and watch an incredible Ibiza sunset

NOTE: Departures also available from Portinatx and San Miguel.

A boat trip in a traditional Ibiza boat has to be one not to be missed. This trip leaves every Sunday to the beautiful and unspoilt North of the island arriving at Benirrás beach to catch one of the most amazing sunsets on the island. The sheltered bay of the beach gives you calm waters that stretch out to the vista of the setting sun. You'll see how the changing light creates a beautiful silhouette of the rock of Cap Bernat in front, also known as the “hand of God”.

Departing at 16:00 h this trip, taking 2.5 hour from San Antonio, will take you all the way to see that Ibiza institution: the famous Sunday sunset drummers. Each Sunday you can hear tribal beats reverberating across the entirety of the beach. Sink into the vibrant sounds and spiritual energy of the drums as the sun lays heavy on the sky. The trip returns when the sun has set, so you'll be sure to get the maximum out of this experience.

The boats used on the excursions are traditional Ibiza boats made by local craftsmen. Aquabus aims to conserve these boats and every year invests in restoring and maintaining them so you can enjoy an original Ibiza boat trip.

Booked 2 trips around Ibiza. Formentera the ferry was quick and comfortable. Hippy sunset was a much smaller boat and the crew were so friendly helping you on and off the boat. They talked about the island and landmarks. The scenery was stunning. Would recommend both. Seeing the beautiful Isand by sea was amazing

Loved seeing the hippies playing the bongos and a recorder as the sun set behind the finger of God.you cannot describe the unique atmosphere. There was a lovely little market on the beach selling many unusual gifts and two restaurants, one of which cooked lovely pizzas and one of the nicest vegi burgers I have had!Thank you! The boat trip itself is long, but worth it. They were very late picking us back up from the beach, about 45 minutes which made it a long day but then it didn't really matter as it was still worth it.The lady captain was lovely as was one of her helpers, who worked so hard.Sadly the other helper was more interested in chatting up a group of young drunken girls and let the rest of the superb team down,he was too busy to help the other lad!!!!!!! I have given all the other excursions that I booked on here full marks but I am marking this down because he was so unprofessional.A shame. The excursion itself was excellent!

Great Boat trip! Was expecting a bit more, just because it was really crowded to watch the drums and the boat was a bit late. But great experience! Lovely crew and lovely beach!

Very nice boat trip of slightly more then 90' from San Antoni up to Benirras Beach in a crowded boat. The view of the west coast of the island is stunning. The return trip is not worth of it since it is night and you do not see anything. Arrival at Benirras which is a small and extremely crowded beach, with two restaurants (good quality), a small but nice market and a big parking space (going there by car is an option I would eventually consider next time). We managed with luck to get a space on the beach, could hear the drummers before sun set but could not see them because of the crowd. Sun set is disappointing because from the beach, you see the sun disappearing behind a big mountain, therefore better to go to Es Vedra for this! To summarize,a nice trip, but with some down sides! *** Ibiza Spotlight says: Many thanks for your comment. Indeed towards the end of the season the sun changes its course and sets behind the hill. Regarding the parking situation, in high season access to the car park is restricted and a bus service is offered.****
