Hypercolour took a week off last week, no doubt in preparation for what is all but guaranteed to be a highlight of the season, particular for Hypercolour and Sankeys. Maya Jane Coles tops the bill - she might only be about 5ft tall but she packs one of the biggest punches in the scene at the moment. Joining her will be London boy Huxley, founder Alex Jones and Cedric Maison. A typical Tuesday night in Space involves much of your night spent in the vast cavern that we call the Discoteca, with Coxy, a Funktion One soundsystem, loud music, loads of lasers and a few thousands crazed lunatics absolutely having it. This Tuesday will be business as usual, but this week we are treated to a host of back-to-back sessions with resident Nic Fanciulli being the 'Goose' to Coxy's 'Maverick' (Top Gun reference for you there folks) whilst Squillace and Guti go shoulder to shoulder for a live performance. Circus at Booom!
Thursday 8th of August
New club on the block - Booom! - whilst still transitioning through the opening phase, is begining to show more and more signs of promise. One of these happens to come in the form of next Thursdays Circus party with Yousef and Danny Tenaglia - what a lineup! Yousef stretching his legs with his own party and one of the true legends of dance music. Throw into the mixer the One Records bossman Adam Shelton and the double team of Acid Mondays, one half of which is Circus Liverpool and Mambo resident Alex Wolfenden, and you;ve got yourself a good old fashioned house and techno hoe-down. Yee-hah!
