Monza lively up the Space place

Patrick Chardronnet gets irie this Thursday (July 6).

Patrick Chardronnet sounds like the name of a Frenchman. In fact it belongs to a German producer of renowned rythms released on high quality labels like Pokerflat and included on Steve Bug's well-received 'Bugnology' compilation.

Herr Chardronnet's skills have won him many admirers and MySpace.com "friends" - at last count Pat was blessed with 1,344 including Suicide Girls, Dr Dre and the Cure.

The entertainingly eclectic selection is perhaps an indication of Patrick's committment to the uniting properties of songcraft. His gig at the Ibiza club Space this Thursday (July 6) is likely to boost his pulling power still further, if he impresses as much as Booka Shade (below) last month.

Two weeks ago the Get Physical duo instigated a evening of top quality button-pushing, synth drum-whacking electronic entertainment. The success of the enterprise requires those desirous of hearing the hottest shit available adjust their weekly schedules.
 
Of course the Shade own several stonking club hits that everybody knows and Pat's just got a handful of underground tracks but in this accelerated culture familiarity with an artist's entire ouvre is not strictly necessary. Butt-wiggling beats and marvellous melodies will do, the rest of the impetus will provided by the crowd of open-minded, sophisticated wreckheads that make up Ibiza's party elite.
