The Nutcracker Suite
Ibiza's 'river town' Santa Eulalia has just published a quite low key Christmas, New Year and Three Kings programme, ideal for those who prefer a more traditional feel to the festive season.
In addition to the main events which we've listed below, the council have thought about long suffering parents at this happy time by providing a couple of entertainment centres 'riverland' and 'youthland' to keep kids occupied almost every day of the holiday period.
Saturday 17th – Street Commerce day – Music, food, drink and shopping in the main square
Friday 23rd, 20.30 – Christmas concert in the Congress palace
Monday 26th, 20.00 – Choral concert in the church
Tuesday 27th, 12.00 – The World of Christmas dance spectacular with Passion Dance in the Teatre Espanya
Saturday 31st, 00.30 – NYE party at Studio 64 (C/San Lorenzo)
Monday 2nd, 19.00 – The Nutcracker Suite with the Moscow Ballet at the Congress Palace
Thursday 5th, 18.00 – The arrival and parade of the Three Kings around the streets of the town.
The programme also includes much smaller events going on in other villages – Santa Gertrudis, San Carlos, Puig den Valls and Jesus – in the borough of Santa Eulalia, and details can be found on a downloadable PDF File on the town hall website.
