Each summer for the past 28 years, the annual mid-season visit of BBC Radio 1 has marked the hottest point of the year, where both temperature and parties are concerned. But what if we got to experience this weekly? Well this summer, we do. In 2024, Radio 1 lands at "the home of the pool party", Ibiza Rocks in the heart of San Antonio for 13 consecutive weeks.
Down the years, former Radio 1 personalities such as Annie Mac, MistaJam and Charlie Sloth have all conducted from the poolside booth, entertaining thousands and bringing the biggest names in dance music with them: CAMELPHAT, David Guetta, Carl Cox, Florence & The Machine to name only a few.
In this new, weekly incarnation, you can expect faces from the current Radio 1 Dance roster and some equally A-list guests, playing everything from House to EDM, and Drum & Bass to Techno.
These sun-drenched parties are tipped to be a daytime extravaganzas not worth missing. You can join the action on Mondays, from 3 June to 26 August.
