DJ wizard James Hype has released a contender for track of the summer with new single Be Mine. His latest release is the huge follow-up to one of last year’s defining tracks, Waterfalls.
As always, it's big room energy for the Wirral-born superstar DJ. The vocal-led club tune is already building momentum ahead of summer 2026, gaining significant traction online with more than 6,000 TikTok creations appearing before its release last week.
Interestingly, the track has been a long time coming.
Originally recorded back in 2016 with vocalist Daecolm, the first demo of Be Mine ended up sitting on a hard drive for the best part of a decade. Following the success of Waterfalls, Hype revisited the idea, giving the track an update while keeping its distinct hook front and centre.
The finished version visits that old school club sound that is coming back around, with Trance-y elements and driving synths with a big singalong chorus. This sound reflects the same precision and impact he brings to his DJ sets, where every mix happens completely in the moment.
Setting the tone for his biggest summer on the island yet, Hype will once again link up with Meduza for their Our House residency at Hï Ibiza. The party was confirmed to be moving from Mondays to Wednesdays earlier this year.
Running every week from 27 May to 30 September in The Theatre, the 2026 season marks the fourth consecutive year of Our House at the club.
