Armin van Buuren celebrates 25 years of A State of Trance at [UNVRS] Ibiza

In September, the Ibiza Trance movement reaches a turning point as Armin van Buuren moves his long-standing island residency to debut at [UNVRS]. After years of legendary open-air shows at Ushuaïa, the move to the San Rafael ‘hyperclub’ represents a shift in scale and intensity.

Fresh from being crowned the World’s No. 1 Trance DJ at [UNVRS] in 2025, Armin’s connection to the hyperclub is already written in the history books. This will be a new home for the A State of Trance (ASOT) community within a technical infrastructure capable of projecting Trance energy with maximum impact.

This year’s residency coincides with a massive landmark: 25 years of A State of Trance. What launched as a humble radio show in 2001 has exploded into a global cultural phenomenon, reaching 44 million weekly listeners across 80 countries.

Celebrating this quarter-century legacy at [UNVRS] symbolises the convergence of Armin’s pioneering vision with the most technologically advanced dancefloor on the planet.

Taking place over five consecutive Mondays from 7 September to 5 October, the programming for this residency is exceptional: Armin van Buuren will perform a five-hour extended set every night. These marathon performances are designed to take the audience on a complete narrative journey - from deep, atmospheric builds to the high-energy climaxes that define his sound.

As the co-founder of Armada Music and a Grammy-nominated artist, his influence spans generations and, on each date, he will be joined by a handpicked selection of friends and collaborators to honour the ASOT heritage.

Across these five nights, thousands of fans will be able to experience the build-ups and massive breakdowns in perfect unison, marking a new, elevated chapter for Trance on the White Isle.
