I had the pleasure of being the very first Chilling By the Pool guest of summer 2025 at one of our deluxe client locations, OKU Ibiza. Though it wasn’t my first time at this stunning 5* resort (I spent a sunny afternoon by the family pool last summer), this visit was all about soaking up the atmosphere of the adult-only pool area, like a true VIP.
From the moment we arrived, the service immediately stood out. The team were warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful, whether you were a hotel guest or just visiting for the day. From offering luggage assistance to arriving clients to ensuring a smooth taxi service for those venturing out for the day, every interaction was seamless. We were then promptly escorted to the pool area, where we were introduced to our hosts for the day.
To say the pool is impressive would be an understatement. Possibly the longest pool I’ve ever laid eyes on, it’s perfect for a proper swim, a refreshing dip, or simply sitting with your legs dangling off the edge. It’s an immediate wow moment the second you arrive.
Food and drinks menus were brought to our loungers, but I’d been quietly craving one particular dish since my last visit - their signature katsu chicken sandwich. I genuinely dreamt about it during the winter months, and let me tell you, it lived up to every memory. Succulent breaded chicken folded into four mouthwatering bites, paired with crispy homemade sweet potato fries and a refreshing cure juice (think celery, ginger, and other zesty goodness), it was the ideal way to ease into the day.
A complimentary, fresh fruit platter arrived not long after, with grapes, watermelon and pineapple sticks being handed out to each guest, a light and thoughtful touch, and especially refreshing in the afternoon sun. Later, I ordered a Bloody Mary, which I know from experience can be a hit or miss depending on the venue, but OKU nailed it. Spicy, balanced, and utterly satisfying.
The poolside menu is extensive, with a variety of dishes catering to all preferences, including plenty of vegetarian options: starters, P’oku bowls, salads, baos, sandwiches and mains, I could’ve ordered everything, but I managed to refrain.
While heading to the restroom, I stumbled upon the OKU Boutique, a hidden gem tucked within the resort. Stocked with stylish apparel for men, women and kids, swimwear by Ibiza born brand AZUR, plus accessories, shoes, and bags, it offered everything from laid-back daywear to chic evening looks. Don’t get me wrong, the price tags may not suit all, but for their 5* clientele, they wouldn't bat an eyelid.
By 2pm, the pool area was filling up, and right on cue with the first DJ’s set. She brought an energetic yet refined vibe to the afternoon, mixing Afro house, deep tech remixes, and Latin-infused grooves. The grand DJ stage with large LED screen located at one end of the pool also adds a super cool and unique feel to the day experience. Instead of the booth being tucked away, the extravagance of the set up puts emphasis on good music being a priority at the venue.
You may even spot a celeb or two staying here. Right across from my lounger, I spotted Liverpool’s football manager, Arne Slot, relaxing with some pals after his momentous first season with the Reds. If it’s good enough for him, it’s definitely good enough for me!
The five-star resort truly lives up to its reputation and makes the perfect location to spend the day. I can imagine if you’re staying here, the outstanding service continues throughout your visit.
