O Beach advocates for improved mental health

In partnership with We Are Hummingbird and guest speaker Ian Hurst on 5 and 6 June.

San Antonio day-club O Beach is partnering with non-profit mental health awareness organisation We Are Hummingbird.

Spread across two days, Monday 5 June for staff and Tuesday 6 June for tourists and residents, it aims to open up essential discussion in a safe and welcoming space.

The event marks Mental Health Awareness Month and invites special guest speaker and mental health coach Ian Hurst (pictured) to the forum.

Taking place in the O Beach restaurant, topics including cashing in, what is mental health and stress vs anxiety will all be discussed with tips and tools for better management and understanding.

Guest speaker Ian Hurst brings a wealth of knowledge and personable experience. As an internationally renowned mental health and suicide prevention spokesman, Ian Hurst promises a non-clinical, accessible approach.

He is a huge advocate for harnessing the uplifting power of music in his approach.

After the discussions, Ian Hurst will be on hand if anyone would like to seek personal guidance and have questions answered. All conversations will be kept fully confidential.

As well as taking away important messages on understanding your feelings and speaking out, attendees will also be able to take home a workbook with actionable tips for improving mental wellbeing.

The public event on Tuesday 6 June will start at 09:00 for Spanish speakers and 10:00 for English. If you would like to attend or learn more, please register your interest by emailing  secretaria(at)theimigroup(dot)eu
