Things to do this month on Ibiza | February 2023

Our top picks of island activities for the next 28 days.

The borderline between wintertime and the much-awaited spring, February on Ibiza features some great activities.

This month is about getting out and about and enjoying the island in its late winter glory, as well as keeping up any New Year health resolutions. Nature and exercise feature heavily, and sometimes overlap in our suggestions for February.

For anybody in desperate need of a laugh at this time of year, we also have a couple of ideas on how to raise a smile (and hopefully a bit more).

Read our guide to this month’s highlights below.

Uncensored Comedy dishes out dopamine at Eden

2 February

January is a long month that tends to feel longer than most. Each time we check our bank balance, we don't know whether to laugh or cry. If you could do with some winter cheer, we have the solution.

A night of naughty jokes from some of the UK and Europe's funniest touring comedians is in store on Thursday 2 February. Brought to you by the same team behind Lust For Laughs, Uncensored Comedy Ibiza features Hannah Byczkowski, Tamer Kattan, Joe Jacobs and Kyla Cobbler.

Doors open at 21:00. After the stand-up comedy finishes, DJs will take attendees late into the night. Of course, if you seek your dopamine hit from dancing alone, Mathew Jonson (live) is in town two days later on Saturday 4 February.

Live music at Cas Costas

2, 9, 16 and 23 February

Open all year-round, Cas Costas has a menu that already makes it worthy enough to visit. Throw some live music into the mix and it only makes it even more irrestible. Each and every Thursday you can be entertained as you dine.

Ibiza's blooming marvels

3 February

As anyone who has witnessed it can tell you, the sight of field upon field of pink and white almond blossom at this time of year is among Ibiza’s most breathtakingly beautiful vistas. Glorious in the daytime, the blooms acquire a special beauty when viewed at night. Join in this guided night-time walk from San Antonio to the charming village of Santa Agnés – around 10 km in total - to enjoy the phenomenon in the company of other nature-lovers.

Dabidinside's debut art exhibition

3 – 16 February

Island resident artist Dabidinside is holding his first exhibition 'Desde dentro', at Can Tixedó Art Café, in the tiny hamlet of Buscastell, situated between San Rafael and Santa Agnés. Come along to the opening on 3 February and meet the artist in person, or drop in any day up until 16 February to see his distinctive works.

Improving your stamina "lIDL BY LIDL"

5 February

New year, new me? Who will admit to taking out gym membership and starting a diet last month? Even those of you who have stuck rigorously to your workout plan might have needed a few more weeks training for our next activity.

The annual LIDL to LIDL trail race is celebrating its ten year anniversary in 2023. Taking place Sunday 5 February from 10:00, the 21km race runs from LIDL in San Antonio to LIDL on the outskirts of Ibiza Town (Can Bufí). There’s also a 10km circuit option.

We might sit this one out and enjoy as a spectator.

Bring home the bacon and the bragging rights at La Cursa des Porquet

5 February

Are you feeling your porky best? The famous Piggy Race is back for its 20th edition. Get dressed up, bring your bikes and head out for a day of oinkin' good fun for all the family.

The big race starts at 11:00 by the fountain square in San Antonio and takes you to Buscastells, La Forada and back to San Antonio. For the little piglets, there is a baby race at 10:30 and a mini race at 10:45. Registration opens from 09:00 on the day itself.

The late, late brunch at MIRA Ibiza

5, 12, 19 and 26 February

After its successful launch in mid-Jauary, the Late Brunch at MIRA Ibiza returns every Sunday throughout February.

Partake in delicious food, expertly mixed cocktails and the aged tradition of bingo. Entrants have the chance to win a brunch, drinks, a cheeky chupito or even 20 per cent off their next booking with Smart Charter Ibiza! Now that's a prize we can get onboard with.

Eusebio Guasch and DJ Salva Martin take turns in providing the entertainment.

Dance workout for the whole family at Las Dalias

12 February

Promising the ultimate family-friendly dance party, Ravers Tots returns to Ibiza. This time the intergenerational dance takes place at Las Dalias on Sunday 12 February. DJs Doorly and Tom Grimes will be supplying the Disco and House classics from 13:30 to 15:30.

Might as well give the little 'uns the clubbing bug early, right?

Ravers Tots forms part of the all-day-long Stargaze event. The family-oriented part of the day runs from 10:00 to 16:00 and includes DJ lessons for kids and children’s activities. Afterwards, the adult's evening takes place from 17:00 to 20:00, featuring a demonstration of the SOMA breathwork technique, as displayed by Niraj.

The entire event is free, so round up the entire family and come along.

Love is in the air

14 February

Where better to celebrate St Valentine's Day than on Ibiza, the island of love and passion? Fortunately, many local restaurants are rising to the occasion with romantic-themed menus that are ideal for that super amorous encounter on this special day.

Festival del humor

17 - 19 February

The English speakers had their fill of comedy at the start of the month, but now it's time for those with a native tongue to get their share of the giggles at Festival de humor. Taking place across different venues in Santa Eulalia, each stand-up will be performed in either Spanish or Catalan and cost between €5 and €12 admission.

"I've got that on vinyl"

18 - 19 February

Calling all crate-diggers and wax fiends, the Fira del Disc d'Eivissa record fair returns to San Antonio this February. Celebrating its third edition, trawl the stands inside a heated marquee to buy and exchange your dusty vinyl, no matter the condition.

It wouldn't be much of a record fair without music, so expect DJ sets and live performance to put you in the music hunting mood. How many rare gems can you walk away with?

Akasha stirs back to life with the inimitable Sasha

After a well-deserved mid-winter slumber, Las Dalias club Akasha reawakens on Saturday 18 February for its 2023 Opening Party. None other than island resident and certified electronic music royalty Sasha returns to headline the occasion.

Even though its only been closed for seven weeks, we've really missed our weekend jaunts to the north of the island. We're sure most of San Carlos and Ibiza's wider clubbing community will come out and join us on the dancefloor. Tickets on sale now.

Almond Blossom Race

19 February

Part of the Santa Agnés de Corono local fiesta and organised by Sa Raval Athlectics Club, the Flor d'Ametller is another way to enjoy the beauty of the island whilst testing your endurance. There's a competitive element, sure. but it's all in good fun.

There are categories for all age-groups, with the length of the course dictated accordingly. Come and join in the fun, whilst marvelling at the flowering orchards as you pass.

Carnival parade in San Antonio

21 February

Taking place 16:30 to 20:00, the bright and colourful Carnival Parade requests not only your attendance, but your participation. Find your most daring costume and join the procession of floats, music, fancy dress and unbridled fun! Enough to turn the most sour frown upside down.

Festa de sa Sitja

24 - 26 February

Lighting of the Sitja is a community celebration that takes place in Santa Agnès de Corona at the end of February. The ceremonial lighting of the charcoal oven procedes the villagers tending over it and cooking sobrassada across the weekend.

Aside from the main activity, there is also a workshop on dry stone wall restoration workshop by Vicent Serra, a hand craft market, singing and dance performance and an exhibition of classic vehicles and agricultural machinery.

The festivities culminate on Sunday, as a big paella is made and shared.
