Pop starlet Becky Hill makes her presence felt at Ibiza Rocks

You, me and us are entertained at poolside.

Chart sensation and darling of British pop music, Becky Hill made her much awaited debut at Ibiza Rocks this past Tuesday.

Called You/Me/Us, the residency sees heroine Becky perform a live concert from poolside for the next three weeks, before returning for the final three Tuesdays in August.

Already July temperatures are starting to surge towards those peak season highs, which only contributed to the feverpitch atmosphere inside the party hotel.

You/Me/Us

Piece Of Me songstress Becky Hill certainly gave us her all for the opening show. The start of a six week residency at the fame-maker venue, the crowd were chomping at the bit as they waited for her to take the stage.

Cartier and B.Live opened the show, whipping the crowd into a dancing mood with bouncing Garage and Bassline tracks, as well notable plays of Meduza's Piece Of Your Heart and Nobody To Love by Sigma.

With the crowd suitably primed, they announced Becky had arrived backstage, sending those in attendance loopy at the mere mention of our hostess' name. Before long, her dancers sprang onto the stage as Ms. Hill made her glittering curtain opener.

Clearly revelling in the spotlight, Becky belted out her Sigala collaboration, Heaven On My Mind resulting in crowd eruptions. Pyrotechnics added to the performance, as canons and flames shot off stage in time to the beat.

From the pool through to the packed to a punch stage, the crowd was wild throughout. It was as if every song touched a tender note, with fans screaming back in time with her lyrics.

Despite reciting hit after hit, her voice stayed on point. A consummate professional, she never failed at hitting those high notes and deep dives, even as she kept in tandem with her four twinkle toed compadres.

Huge props also go to her bad-ass DJ, who kept the tracks rolling throughout.

To I Wish You Well, she asked everyone to show their middle finger to anyone who was not in their favour, to which the crowd duly obliged. Defiant gestures and heartfelt chanting from the heart ensued.

It was quite a sight to behold and conjured the same emotions as being amongst a packed audience at a festival stage.

Aside for the crowd participation and chorus recalls, there was plenty of other interaction with the audience, like this lucky superfan who Becky gladly took a selfie for. Talk about being made-up.

It's obvious now why the party is named You/Me/Us. Those who attended were involved for the entire duration, from her support acts right the way until Becky's own thrilling swansong.

With such a fired-up opening, we can see each week only getting hotter. With just five more dates left in the calendar, we'd suggest getting yourself to the front of the stage at any opportunity you have.

You can do exactly that, by heading below, checking dates and buying those stage-side tickets. You/Me/Us returns next Tuesday, 12 July and again on 19 July before a mini break.
