Saturday daytime clubbing doesn't get much better than ANTS at Ushuaïa.
Popular with Ibiza workers and island visitors alike, its success could be chalked down to the simple factor of its great roster of DJs in an amazing party location.
When you look closer under the microscope, it's more than just that.
Season after season, ANTS has consistently brought in greater numbers and has been Ushuaïa flagship underground event for many summers. It's one of the few parties born in Ibiza and successfully exported across the world, rather than vice-versa.
Strong visual identity is an important factor in its trendiness. Many die-hard fans carry the queen logo with pride in the form of tattoos, tees, visors and more.
Each year, the party changes its theme to incorporate science-fiction and futurism into the production. All of this can be taken at face value, but if you really want to know why you should attend the final ANTS of summer 2019, check out our top reasons below.
Afternoon Vibes
One of the appealing qualities of ANTS is its day to evening format.
In 2019, daytime parties have been on the rise and the party has definitely benefitted from this shift in trend. People can soak up the sun in the open-air, whilst paddling in the pool and enjoy the musical delights the party has to offer.
The outdoor terrace area at the back of the Ushuaïa complex is a perfect place to kick-off the party, seeing ravers waving branded hand fans and sinking cool drinks whilst dancing on wooden podiums is common. The action starts at 15:00, so get in early to enjoy the sunshine hours.
Respected Residents
Whilst the closing line-up boasts a bunch of big-name DJs, dues go to the workhouse residents of ANTS.
Francisco Allendes is a White Isle favourite known for synthetic house and techno grooves crossed with organic rhythms for lethal effect. His talents this year have been recognised as he walked away with the Ibiza DJ accolade at the DJ Awards.
Dublin, on the other hand, usually kick things off early doors. The dual DJing force supply a string of house bangers and club-ready tracks. Who other than ANTS main man, Andrea Oliva to shut down the party and the season in riotous fashion.
High Octane Production
When the main stage opens at 19:00 the crowds' focus moves to the front of Ushuaïa.
This year, ANTS has gone all out in crafting an impressive metropolis stage design, complete with towering skyscrapers. When the sun goes down behind this megastructure, the sight is a memorable one.
Each explosive drop is accompanied by a burst of flames shooting up from the front of stage. As evening sets in, bright lasers shine across the ravers, illuminating them in a rainbow of light. The ANTS production creates striking scenes that are unforgettable.
DJ Superstars
Above all, it's ANTS' 24-carat line-ups that bring a suite of clubbers to the beach club week after week.
This year, the colony consisted of various tech house giants who single-handedly made each visit worthwhile. According to the closing party line-up, the final dance is no different.
On Saturday, partygoers should expect a bass-heavy showdown from some of the underground's finest selectors. Steve Lawler and Solardo will each providing minimal house and techno sounds, promising to have Ushuaia oozing with groove.
Trusty veteran Joris Voorn is certain to plays some show-stopping techy tunage. Catch him on the main stage as the night draws in.
Explosive Tunes
Along with unmissable artists, ANTS is widely recognised among for being a party that houses summer bangers and future hits.
