Where and what?

Cala d'en Serra beach is located on the most northerly tip of the island, close to the pretty resort of Portinatx. Considered a beautiful and peaceful paradise, this secluded horseshoe-shaped sandy beach is the perfect secluded Ibiza beach. When you arrive there for the first time, looking down before your descent, you will fall in love.

Why go?

The slightly isolated nature of the beach makes it the perfect spot to unwind. In summer it won't be deserted, though it certainly won't be stifling. The waters give off deep hues of emerald and offer unparalleled beauty in a serene setting.

Things to do

A popular pastime is stopping by the unfinished hotel just before the beach: this eerie abandoned building, only adds to the charm of the place. If you get peckish, there is a chiringuito beach bar serving drinks and food, so why not have a cocktail and sample the cuisine; the mojitos are particularly special. Swimming and snorkelling here are divine pastimes, thanks to the clarity of the water. The more adventurous should try diving from the rocks.

How to get there

You will need a car or bike to get here. Be careful as the access roads are potholed and narrow. Find Cala d'en Serra beach via Google Maps - it is asy enough to find. You should be able to find a place to park at the top or you can venture down towards the abandoned hotel, where you might be lucky to get parking.
