The whole of Ibiza has gone television mad. This week, young San Antonio policeman Micky Silva, watched by a TV audience of millions, won through to the 'academy' stage of Operación Triunfo. He was also seen by a crowd of 400 people who had gathered in the beautiful square behind San Antonio church where enormous TV screens had been installed especially for the occasion. Apparently it was only at the last moment that Micky triumphed thanks largely to a massive vote from the island!

Meanwhile San Antonio's big brother, Ibiza Town is trumpeting its own televisual hero. Somebody called Nacho, who was born in Madrid, lived in Seville, then worked in a car factory in Germany, and who has just done a stint as a P.R. in a bar in Ibiza port, will be entering the Big Brother House with 11 other contestants. No doubt we'll be seeing both Micky and Nacho in 'Hola' magazine in the very near future. Good luck boys!
