Every year on 16 July, Ibiza holds its festival in honour of the Virgen del Carmen, the patron saint of seamen.
Events take place in several of the island's locations, including Ibiza, San Antonio, Es Cubells and Portinatx, with mass, sea processions and music.

In 2025, the events take place on the weekend after the 16 July, from Thursday 17 to Sunday 20 July.
Highlights are the Great Foam Party on Thursday and the Portinatx Party on Saturday, both on the main beach S'Arenal Gros.
