A popular beach near San Antonio which draws tourists daily and locals on weekends, Cala Bassa Beach truly offers something for everyone. It is reachable by car, boat and bus, with a range of useful facilities and wooden walkways providing access for the disabled and prams, making it easily accessible to all ages.

Cala Bassa Beach is surrounded by a wooded area of ancient, gnarled Sabina trees, and boasts clear, turquoise waters and soft, pale golden sand. It's a safe bathing spot for kids, but not exactly a 'sleepy' beach, as there is a range of watersports on offer for the adrenalin junkies - including jetskis.

Beach bars and restaurants:

Here you will find four restaurants within the Cala Bassa Beach Club umbrella. The Chiringo serves classic Mediterranean food and is open all year round, whilst the CBbC Restaurant with its gastronomic fusion cuisine, and the high-end Sushi Restaurant are open during Ibiza's summer season from May to October. There is also a snack bar serving pre-prepared but good quality food at reasonable prices situated on the far side of the bay, and a couple of cute little beach bars.

With interesting sculptures dotted here and there, shops and boutiques selling clothes, beachwear, jewellery and accessories, a very relaxed treatment and massage area, along with showers, bathrooms and changing rooms, it seems that Cala Bassa Beach Club has thought of everything to keep all of its visitors happy. Add to this the DJs who play a mix of lounge, chill-out and deep-house music all day, and you have something resembling the perfect Ibiza beach experience.

The nearby Chimichurri restaurant is also a big favourite, known especially for cooking meat to perfection.

Nearest resort: San Antonio bay and San Antonio. At these locations there is a huge range of hotels and apartments for all budgets, or alternatively, book a local villa all to yourself.
