reVOLVER Emergency Sunglasses to the Rescue

One of the coolest shops in Ibiza Town, reVOLVER, made their presense felt during the closing parties with their super-handy and super-cool Emergency Sunglasses

It’s happened to most of us at one time or another. You’ve had the best night ever at your favourite club, you make your way to the exit and step into the beautiful morning sun…only to realise you’ve forgotten your much-needed shades. Or even worse: you’re having nearly ‘too much’ fun at the after-party when you realise, you guessed it, you are sin gafas de sol.

Well, reVOLVER Ibiza, the island’s must-visit fashion boutique have been on hand to help during the closing parties. They were giving out free ‘Emergency Sunglasses’ at Cocoon, We Love and DC10 closing parties, just when they were most needed.

The idea came from the infamous after-parties held by reVOLVER founders Catherine and Jean-Paul Sanchez. “When we lived in London we held some pretty wild parties that went on until at least day-break. People would come and go, and leave their sunglasses behind, never returning to collect them. Eventually we put these into an 'emergency sunglasses bowl' for anyone still around when the sun came up but unlucky enough not to have shades with them. We thought it would be a great idea to do the same for people here in Ibiza, offer them a ‘fashion fix’ just when they need it.”

Designed by Linda Farrow, these are not your run-of-the-mill cheap sunglasses. They’re a great, modern take on the classic wayfarer type frame and come in very handy carry-case. Tracy Sedino of Linda Farrow: “reVOLVER came to us with the idea and we loved it and were only too happy to design something special for them.”
