Unusual Suspects is certainly a breed apart from the rest of the pack. For starters, here is a rare example of a party which began as an intimate winter residency but went onto become a successful summer party.
Last year it was a silver lining at Sankeys Ibiza, in what would turn out to be the last hoorah at that building under that name. Now reborn as Octan Ibiza, Unusual Suspects bridges both eras by returning to the site it's made home.
Now entering its fifth season, 2019 has already proved eventful for Unusual Suspects. It began the season as collaborators with Amnesia Presents Do Not Sleep, landing on several Fridays at the venue. Although those dates gave us a little taster, it feels like normality has been restored with the Octan news.
Now on selected Friday nights, you have five opportunities to get amongst it with the Unusual Suspect crew.
It remains to be seen whether there will be a strong Romanian influence, as with previous campaigns. What we can say for sure is that US has the Italo-factor. Frank Storm and Federico Grazzini are the esteemed residents trusted with wowing dance floors, while you can also count on huge guest appearances from the likes of Luigi Madonna, Marco Faraone and Neverdogs.
Plus, an enviable support cast includes the likes of Santé, Enzo Siragusa and Seb Zito, and we hear that there's a few surprises still to be unveiled. Let's not forget that past guests have included Ilario Alicante, Sidney Charles, Mathew Jonson and Chris Liebing.
Other confirmed artists dropping by this summer include Nakadia, Fabio Ferro and Calvin Clarke - with label takeovers in Spectre.
The season kicks off on 19 July, with further events on 16, 23 and 30 August before the closing party on Friday 13 September 2019.
