Ibiza is all set to welcome a thrilling new event this September as the Minishop Open Tennis makes its island debut. Held in partnership with Concept Hotel Group, the tournament will transform Bubble Tennis Club in San Antonio into a hub of athletic prowess, creativity and high-energy socialising on Thursday, 19 September.
After two celebrated editions in Madrid, the tournament now lands on the White Isle, bringing its distinctive blend of competitive tennis and contemporary culture to Ibiza. More than just a sporting contest, the event has established itself as a gathering point for influencers, artists, athletes and designers where baseline rallies go hand-in-hand with backstage networking.

The choice of Ibiza - known for its enduring spirit of creative freedom and authentic connection - aligns perfectly with the event’s ethos. “Ibiza isn’t just a location; it’s a mindset,” as the organisers say. “It’s the perfect backdrop for a tournament that values style, substance and community in equal measure.”
A seriously impressive roster of twenty-four teams will take to the courts. From iconic island venues like Las Dalias and Casa Jondal to global fashion labels such as Brain Dead, the line-up reflects the event’s cosmopolitan appeal.

The player list reads like the guestlist for an A-list gathering that includes ex-Real Madrid star Marcelo alongside professional tennis stars Feliciano López, Pablo Andujar and Nico Almagro. They’ll be joined by actor Ricardo Gómez, presenter Arturo Valls, model Juan Betancourt, and Irish singing sensation Róisín Murphy, who now calls Ibiza home.
With such a diverse mix of athletes, artists and personalities, the Minishop Open Tennis promises to be far more than a standard tournament. It’s a celebration of sport, sound and style that fits Ibiza like a glove.
More than a game, it bids farewell to another season and - who knows - marks the beginning of a whole new chapter. A perfect match, indeed.
