tipic. Formentera, Ibiza

The only nightclub on Ibiza's sister-island of Formentera.

tipic. is based on the island of Formentera, another of the Balearic Islands and just four miles south of Ibiza. The island is considered the quieter little sister of Ibiza, with a population of around 10,000 compared to Ibiza's 100,000+ but of course there is still space for one club... and that's been nicely taken up by tipic.

Located in the area of Es Pujols on the east side of the island, the club only holds around 500 people at capacity. In the past, it became a second home for Cocoon, after Sven and co. spotted the potential of the club and chose to honour its illustrious history (the first event here in 1971 featured a little band called Pink Floyd...). Now it works as a space that offers something completely different to the clubbing masses of Ibiza.

tipic. enjoyed a glorious heyday in the '70s and '80s, but as tourism to Formentera continues to grow, so does the club's popularity and reputation - it's certainly a place you should experience at least once. Culturally, it is as important to Formentera, as Pacha is to Ibiza.

Famous for: Being Formentera's only club, hosting a little-known band (at the time!) Pink Floyd in the '70s, briefly being called Pachacha before quietly switching back to its most famous moniker

Popular parties: El Paripé, IDOL

Getting there: From Ibiza you can take the ferry over to Formentera, and once you're on the island it's easy to hire a scooter or take a bus, which will drop you off pretty much at the door.

Resort: Formentera
