A fashion movement born on the White Isle, Adlib Fashion was finally recognised in 1971, thanks to the debut of its very first, dedicated Fashion Week.
A term coined to encapsulate the essence of the island, Adlib Fashion, honours its native dress, whilst still pushing the fashion envelope through the creative vision of designers and artists, remaining true to its motto: 'Dress as you like, but with taste.'

Born as a celebration of traditional island wear - light colours, natural fabrics and beautiful embroidery - and the emerging hippy communities and their free-thinking lifestyle, it recognised the fusion of both communities that have shaped the island. As it now steps into its 55th year, it remains a visionary style that embodies the true essence of the island.
To commemorate this 55-year accomplishment, 12 designers were invited to unveil their collections, including Vintage Ibiza, Tony Bonet, Elisa Pomar Ibiza, Ibiza Stones, Piluca Bayarri, Estrivancus, S72 Hat, Espardenyes Torres, Monika Maxim Ibiza, Virginia Vald, Ivanna Mestres, and Ibimoda. Each designer brought their flair and finesse to the stage, showcasing their own creativity with an incredible spectrum of designs.

Fittingly staged in equally well-styled surroundings, the showcase was presented on a grand catwalk that stretched along the Plaça de Sa Riba and the port, whilst Marina Ibiza provided a glistening backdrop.
In true Ibiza style, each designer's time to shine on the runway was accompanied by their own soundtrack, highlighting each collection's individuality and charm. Presented by Isabel Jiménez, this year's master of ceremonies, famous faces Eva Santos, Lucía López, Neus Bermejo, and Vitoria Mota all took their turns to be dressed and walk the runway.
Beyond a trend, and despite its creative reimagination, its authenticity is still recognisable thanks to the beautiful lace detail, flowing material, ruffle details and breathable material that’s championed by both emerging and longstanding designers.

The show concluded in dazzling style, as each designer and their team of models took to the stage to give spectators one last gaze at the collections and offer their applause.

The energy hit its final peak, as - in true Ibiza style - musicians took to the stage to play out the events adiós and give the crowd a reason to rise to their feet and congratulate all who made the show so spectacular.
As the island continues to grow and change with time, Adlib Fashion Week is an important reminder of its artisanal roots and traditional spirit, while still pushing boundaries. Encouraging those who wear it to flaunt their own style and flirt with their outrageous side, channelled through this fashion style that's spirited with the true meaning of Ibiza: freedom.
