Francis Mercier has been rising right alongside the Afro House wave over the past few years, shaping it in his own way while growing into a global force that's known in every continent.
Now, with a dedicated fanbase in the palm of his hands, he’s stepping into a whole new chapter with his very first island residency, Solèy at Chinois Ibiza. Meaning 'the sun' in Haitian Creole, and just like the sun, Solèy is all about warmth, unity and connection.
After making a strong impression with a guest set at Chinois last season, it only made sense for Francis to choose it as the home of his debut residency.
Every Friday from 13 June to 1 August, he takes over Chinois for an eight-week musical journey with sounds that, quite frankly, are unlikely to be heard anywhere else.
Expect a colourful mix of sounds, where African drums meet Middle Eastern soul and Caribbean rhythm. If you know the huge track 2024 track Sete, that stuck in the top ten tracks on Beatport for months? Well, that is Francis Mercier.
For the opening night, he reels in MoBlack, Lilya Mandre and Queen Rami to join him on his quest to bring cultural sounds to the masses.
Giolì & Assia, Kitty Amor, Wakyin and the underground alias of Brazilian superstar Alok, Something Else, dig into darker, more experimental club sounds.
Plus, there are dates for Nitefreak, Major League DJz, Sparrow & Barbossa and Emmanuel Jal over the short but sweet eight week spell.
You can find full line-ups and tickets for every date below.
