Sant Ferran has perhaps the strongest connection with Formentera's bohemian past. In the 1970s, the village became a meeting point for hippies and artists around the legendary Fonda Pepe, and something of that free-spirited character remains in its summer markets.
The Sant Ferran Craft Market focuses on handmade work, while the neighbouring Art Market gives local craftsmen, artists, painters and sculptors a place to exhibit work inspired by the island.
Live music and food are also on offer, and you will see the bars and restaurants full of locals and tourists during the summer.
