The International Women's Day is celebrated every year on 8 March in order to defend women's rights and equality.
Also in San José, in the days around the date there will be a diverse programme of activities for the whole family from exhibitions to theatre, concerts, book launchings, movies, music performances, races, workshops and a demonstration pro women rights on 8 March in front of the town hall.
