Located inside the Centre Antoni Tur "Gabrielet" right in the heart of Sant Francesc Xavier, the Mercat Pagès is a direct-selling market for Formentera's local farmers and producers. This is less of a traditional hippy market and more of a local craft and food centre, but it's worth including because it offers something different.
Its stalls are packed with zero-kilometre, freshly harvested island fruit and vegetables, alongside local honey, wine, and fresh fish. Many items feature the "Producto Hecho en Formentera" stamp, guaranteeing traditional production methods.
Its central location makes it ideal to combine with a leisurely stroll around the old town.
The Antoni Tur Gabrielet centre (also in Sant Francesc Xavier) combines an exhibition space and workshops dedicated to recovering traditional local crafts.
