Ibiza & Formentera Preservation is joining the Qué Celeste festival, which celebrates its tenth anniversary in Formentera this September, with a programme of activities designed to bring environmental conservation closer to the public through participation, awareness, and culture.
This collective exhibition opening in Sant Francesc, Formentera, shows us how marine litter can be transformed into striking art.
Featuring 14 artists from across Formentera, Mallorca, Menorca, and Ibiza, the showcase highlights creative reuse and environmental awareness. Works on display feature reclaimed plastics, beach flotsam, repurposed glass, discarded sails, and old fishing nets—reimagined through sculpture, craft, and contemporary visual arts.
Arising from an inter-island preservation initiative, the exhibition offers a thought-provoking look at sustainability and waste through local creative talent.
The exhibition remains open to visitors daily through 27 September.
