Review: Usher at Pacha for All Gone Pete Tong July 8th

R&B Superstar Usher gives an unforgettable performance at Pacha.

I arrived at Pacha about 1:30 am expecting complete chaos at the door.  This was Usher after all, and probably one of the biggest nights at Pacha this summer, but I was pleasantly surprised at the relatively calm and efficiently moving line.  The main room was completely packed already as Ibiza icon Pete Tong was warming up an already up for it crowd. 

I made my way to the more calm atmosphere of the terrace to have a few drinks before the chaos of Usher’s set began while I admired the diversity of the people, styles, and fashion at Pacha.  This is something I absolutely love about it here in Ibiza.  At 3 am I made my way back to the completely rammed main room just in time to catch Usher take the stage and cause the crowd to erupt into a frenzy as he opened with his classic song “Yeah”.  He kept the energy level high as he continued with the currently popular “DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love”, and “OMG”.  Glittering dancers in beaded costumes and an amazing lazor light show provided the perfect backdrop to Usher’s songs.  His performance was short and sweet, but definitely left a lasting impression.  Before he finished his show he encouraged the crowd to party all night, which no doubt everyone at Pacha did.
