Beach Parties 2010: Mumu at Sands

Liverpool's newest and finest underground night, Mumu, arrives in Ibiza fresh for 2010 with a series of daytime beach parties to be held at Sands.

2009 was the year when beach parties showed that the morning ban on clubs opening was actually nothing to be worried about and instead, as is always the case in Ibiza, something new and better evolved. Playa D'en Bossa was at the centre of this with Ushuaia, Nassau, Delano and also Sands, which will be the location of seven parties from Liverpool's Mumu, starting Tuesday 15th June (day after Cocoon Opening).

Clive Henry is involved for at least 2 dates, as well as Mumu resident Lee Rands and due to the way booking exclusivity works in Ibiza, other guests who will probably can't be announced, otherwise they get in trouble with the party that has booked them officially. For example, you'll recall Richie Hawtin (briefly) and Marco Carola featuring at Ushuaia's Closing Party in 2009, despite Amnesia's insistence they wouldn't. In Mumu's case, you can be sure it'll be faces from the Circo Loco and Cocoon parties that will be appearing at these monthly Tuesday at Sands. It would be great to see Ricardo and/or Cassy getting things off with bang after Cocoon Opening.

Obviously other details are sketchy at the moment, but I'll defo be swopping my Jimmy Choos for some flip flops after Cocoon and heading to Sands for breakfast and a boogie. If you're still not convinced, Mumu have been throwing wicked parties in Liverpool for 2 years now, with Reboot, Nick Curly, Anja Schneider, Matthias Tanzmann and Rhadoo, amongst others, playing at various venues across the city.
