Running since 1988 in San Antonio with Ignacio or in Santa Eulalia with Alfredo since 1994, this can be one of the highlights of your holiday - a trip in the country
with commentaries that are sheer entertainment, laced with Spanish music
which changes mood & tempo with the passing scenery! In a road train with
open air carriages, with a cool breeze and sights that few tourists have
the opportunity to see.......
From San Antonio you take off into the hills to a lovely little bar in Santa Ines to enjoy your free drink on a lovely shaded terrace.
........that's entertainment!
Then on and up to El Mirador, one of the highest peaks on the island - on a clear day you can see the mainland and of course a spectacular view of the island.
Don't forget your camera!
The San Antonio Express leaves every day from the main bus station at the entrance of the village behind the hotel Florida. Map Ref.
Definitely a MUST for those looking to
capture the true essence of Ibiza.
The Santa Eulalia Express leaves every day from the Town Hall. Map Ref.
Knick-Knacks
You begin with a 12 km trail through the countryside to the first destination, a typical Spanish "cantina" with an amazing collection of antiques and knick-knacks to take in while enjoying your free drink.
Culture
All aboard again to head up to the Hill of "Puig de Missa" for a panoramic view of the island and a fascinating tour of the "Museu Ethnologic d'Eivissa i Formentera" for a close-up look at some of the islands' history and culture.
Lastly, a quick stop at the hill's 400 year-old church with it's architecture and sculptures, then back down to Sant Eulalia through the town for a bell-ringing arrival.
So who said choo choo trains were only for kids ...
this is for everyone!
