Unleash the Beast: Carl Cox Closing 2010

Mouths were practically watering buckets when the line-up for Carl Cox's closing party was first announced. One week to go.....

One of last year's most epic nights of the season was Loco Dice playing at Space for Carl's night. Everything just fell into place for some reason and I've already commented extensively on how Dice himself zoomed ahead last year.....maybe it was just the rarity of seeing him play somewhere else in Ibiza other than Cocoon.

Regardless, he appears again here for the closing, along side Desolat buddy and ubiquitous figure in Ibiza this summer tINI. Of course, that's only the starters in the Discoteca, as Carl finishes off as usual in what is sure to be a full house.

Just when you thought things couldn't get any more grandiose, Danny Tenaglia will dominate the Terraza with a 7 hour, start-to-finish set, in the true classic marathon way we're accustomed to with DT down the years.

Sounds like Pukka Up are at fault here, dantboy, not Space or Cox & co.

I can see how that would dent your momentum but the Cox Closing party itself was top notch. Probably my vote for the best party during my trip :!:

Yousef and Danny T rocked it, and Coxy played until 8am. Full but not too rammed and space to dance. I barely stopped moving all night! :D

that's true, cox didn't play the sunset, in fact there was no loud music or dancing at all on the sunset.

but yousef was amazing inside on the covered terrace. best set i've heard this summer.

bit gutted about this party, we decided to go on the pukka up boat party before hand for 60 euros. this included boat party (free drinks) transport to space and ticket (i know its 10 euros b4 11 etc) boat party was good, had a fun time got to space only to be pushed into the el salon, there was a separate que going into sunset terrace. i questioned one of the bouncers only to be pushed back in to the el salon que. at this point i was getting a bit pished off cos imo carls sunset terrace sets are unreal. got inside the el salon and went straight up to a couple of bouncers asking how can i get to the sunset terrace to see carl cox playing. they said he wasn't?!?!? can anyone inform me if this was true or not or who was palaying? anyway after what seemed an age we were allowed into the main room to see tini was playing.......QUALITY, unfortunately most of my group had lost our momentum and had had enough......and to be fair i was feeling well and truly screwed over by pukka up. if someone can clear this up for me and try to make some sense of it for me please go ahead........gutted doesn't come close and this being my 5th carl cox at space experience it was by far the worst and wasn't was i was expecting. :(

I agree morbyd i got in there right in the middle of yousef's set and he was KICKING it.

In the end, Danny only played 4.5 hours. Yousef played beforehand and rocked the place. One of the best sets I've seen this trip :!:

Key points on the line-up were releases long before a week ago... (Cox, Tenaglia, Loco Dice)

BUT the fact that Danny T is playing a 7-hour set is NEWS! :D :D :D
