Ibiza Town's main drag echoed to the sounds of loud and proud gay culture last Thursday (June 28). It seems exceptions can be made to the district's typically strict noise control regulations if the jazz or queer subclauses are invoked.

The event was hell if you'd just settled down to watch a bit of tv after a stressful day at the office, but great if you fancy raving in your lounge while the windows rattle. We here at Spotlight sympathise with both parties.

Tho the event took place from sunset till midnight the initial parade part was the best. Several gaudy but modestly proportion floats floated by but bringing up the rear came the daddy - La Troya.

Those following Ibizan club politics may be aware that the famous polysexual crew have left their host of half a decade Amnesia and are now at Space. Like a jilted lover the former has refused to accept the end of the relationship and have continued to advertise their own Wednesday night La Troya party, sans the guy who started it (Brasilio de Olivera), the djs (including the headliner Oliver), and all the costumed freaks (the bestilted Baby Marcelo and friends).

Those atop the the aformentioned parade vehicle were definitely in the Space camp and doing an excellent job of stimulating interest for the Home of La Troya @ Space that night.
