If Space is the best club in the world, then the Space opening party must surely be the best party in the world, and it's now confirmed for Sunday the 26th of May 2013. The party starts at 12 noon this year, compared to the later 4:30pm start of past seasons.

The Space Opening party is considered by most on the island to be the signal that the clubbing season has started as it forms the jewel of a wild weekend of parties. With IMS, Ushuaïa, Sankeys and DC10 all enjoying huge parties on the same weekend for their openings (or the Grand Finale closing in IMS' case!) you need to be in this for the long haul!

Space is a massive club, one that is constantly evolving to make the best use of the area they have, with the Discoteca, La Terraza, El Salon, the Sunset Terrace, and the Premier Etage all entirely different and unique space's in their own right. For the opening the car park is opened up (entrance to the left of the building, with the car park being behind the club) to create an additional huge outdoor arena complete with a bespoke stage boasting a huge soundsystem and lighting production that simply blows you away as you walk round the corner and catch first sight of it.

Every year the lineup gets seemingly bigger and better as many of the residents and special guests associated with Space queue up to take a set time in one of the rooms, but rest assured you will definitely want to be there.
