Ibiza Live: Anka's Away!

Just Announced – Paul Anka plays Lio.

The 50's veteran teen heartthrob Paul Anka will play a date in Ibiza at Lio on 4th August. The singer, who had a string of hits in the 50's and 60's with such songs as Diana, Lonely Boy and Put Your Head on My Shoulder and also wrote the English lyrics to the most famous song in the world – My Way – for Frank Sinatra!

These days the 72 year-old has a new album out called duets which – surprise, surprise – features Anka singing with the likes of Tom Jones, Michael Buble, Celine Dion, Sammy David Jr and Old Blue Eyes himself.

His appearance in Ibiza is only weeks after veteran rockers Sting and Sir Elton play the Ibiza123 Festival in San Antonio and just to show that Paul can rock with the best of them, here he is ripping Teen Spirit to shreds.

Now wonder he's one of my mother-in-law's favourites!
