all new, all Djing, all dancing Ushuaia

Clubbers, families, couples, all have one thing in common when it comes to taking holidays in Ibiza – we all think the beach is great! So what could be better than choosing accommodation right by it, to feel the sand in your toes and hear the gentle lapping of the waves on the shore? And the views! The blue, blue Mediterranean waters stretching off as far as the eye can see.....

Here on Spotlight we've just put together a whole page of Beach Front Accommodation that will suit one and all – clubbers on Playa den Bossa, couples in Talamanca, families in Portinatx or San Antonio Bay – to name just a few.

Lets start with a look at places on the beach for the young set where Playa den Bossa's long, long stretch of soft sand is home to famous beach bars like Bora Bora, Ushuaia, La Plage, Sands, et al.

Mere mortal clubbers just love the Jet Apartments, great accommodation for groups, with 3 pools and of course the famous Bora Bora on the compound, no wonder they're one of our most popular apartments.

Clubbers who want to splash the cash can stay in the modern, more luxurious surroundings of the Garbi (photo), so handy for the beach and Ibiza town, or the all new, all Djing, all dancing Ushuaia which promises, style, luxury and entertainment, all in one neat package.

There's enough room on the huge beach for families too. Popular year after year with mum, dad and the kids are the hotels of the Fiesta – Don Toni and Club Don Toni – group, and Sirenis – Goleta and Tres Carabelas, which have entertainment aplenty and the golden sands on the doorstep.

Other beach hotels favoured by families are the Playa Bella (photo), famous for its evening entertainment and big family apartments, and the Fiesta Milord, both in San Antonio Bay. In Portinatx, with 3 beautiful sandy coves, the El Greco and Club Hotel Portinatx are firm family favourites.

hostal talamanca

Smaller, more laid back and with a totally different atmosphere, Talamanca, with a great selection of restaurants dotted along its beach caters more for couples who like quieter accommodation but still close to Ibiza town. Four hotels each with a different feel can be found on the beach here – The Argos has superb views of the old town and a touch of four star class, the Hostal Talamanca (photo), now has new suites which lead directly on to the beach, The Simbad was upgraded to four stars recently after an 'urban chic' makeover and Ses Figueres offers great personable service so typical of a small, family run hotel.

We've only scratched the surface of our beach hotel selection here, so why not take a look at our new page as there's sure to be something just perfect for you?

Thanks for the photo. Looks like the loungers they usually have on the sand in front.

I'm gonna miss the evening resort show with the woman who played "Lola's Theme". LOL

Wow. The rooms with direct access to the pool look nice - are those the only ones with the fancy decor and the rest of the rooms are like the old Fiesta Club?

Before you rush to book Ushuaia - check the prices - we had a wander around last week & asked about the tariff - its something like €300 a night for a standard double.

Love the Hotel Playa D'en Bossa - wonderful seaviews. It will be interesting to stay there again with Ushuaia next door now.

And it's sold out for July and August solid - so won't be staying there then!
Posted by Paris400 on 8 July 2011

Ushuaia does not have seaviews.the hotel is only a few floors high.its a circle complex with pool in the centre.not like a normal hotel that as 7 floors.you might be lucky to get one of the front rooms that over look the sea.but trees block the view.
Posted by woodruffe on 4 June 2011

Argos has no views of the old town - the view is obscured by new buildings across the street.

Does the new Ushuaia hotel have rooms with sea view?
