Packed Parking in Ibiza

One of our recent articles highlighted the massive influx of visitors to Ibiza

One of our recent articles highlighted the massive influx of visitors to Ibiza in the high summer month of August. Naturally, when hundreds of thousands of visitors all arrive at the same time and all want to get to the same popular places, the odd problem is going to occur.
Take the natural park of Las Salinas which contains one of Ibiza's most popular and uber hip beaches. Parking is a pain in the neck! The owners of the two car parks there say the number of vehicles trying to find a space there can be up to 2,500 per day and over 68,000 cars have passed through during the summer months.

Las Salinas in less busier times

Not everyone parks legally. The centre of the roundabout entering the beach has reportedly held 14 cars packed like sardines onto it. Well what's the solution? Not surprisingly the car park owners have suggested that they be allowed to use more of the land they own as extra parking for hundreds more cars.
Let's see, X hundred cars times Y Euros times Z days equals muchissimo dinero! Good call!
