Ibiza's Late Beach Information

It’s Ibiza, it’s almost the end of the summer season, and it’s time to erect the information boards

It’s Ibiza, it’s almost the end of the summer season, and it’s time to erect the information boards on San Antonio’s beaches! It would be funny if it didn’t always happen, wouldn’t it?

Following a new law passed by the Balearic Government in June each beach has to have an information board. San Antonio received the boards in July but couldn’t find anybody to erect them in August. Now with October looming on the horizon, the council have managed to find someone to dig a couple of holes, pour in a bit of concrete and stick the two poles into it.

Late it may be, but when you consider that the Government had given San Antonio a whole YEAR to complete the work their speed can only be described as greased lightning.

The boards themselves are all a standard size and construction and give information in four languages about first aid facilities, emergency phone numbers and most importantly, Ibiza’s world famous aquatic plant posidonia.

So if anyone is visiting Ibiza over the winter period, be sure to look out for the info boards.
