The company which owns the Casino de Ibiza is close to finalising the paperwork which will allow it to construct a brand new 5 star hotel and casino on the site it presently occupies. Work should start next October and is projected to last for two and a half years with a finish date set for 2006.
Costing of €36 million, it will be only Ibiza's third 5 star hotel, in the company of the Na Ximena in San Miguel and the Fenicia in Santa Eulalia.
Designed by a team of architects in Madrid, there will be 157 rooms and 15 suites, two of which will be 90 square metres in size and have their own private swimming pool! In addition all the usual luxuries that we are accustomed to in 5 star accommodation will be present, restaurants, spas, conference hall and a 'bar zone'. Roll on 2006!
