Petit Medieval - Medieval Festival in a smaller format

Celebrate the famous Medieval Festival in the old town of Dalt Vila, without the market, but with some shows.

The City Council of Eivissa celebrates Medieval Ibiza in a small format with a programme of shows and guided visits to the fortified town of Dalt Vila.

Although, due to the health situation, the traditional market will not be able to be installed, the Eivissa City Council wants to celebrate Medieval Eivissa, commemorating the Declaration of Eivissa as a World Heritage Site, with the "Petit Medieval" programme.

There will be three days with events which will include theater, medieval music, dance shows, storytelling and guided tours of Dalt Vila. All the shows will take place in the Reina Sofía Park.

Friday, 7 May
11:30 puppet show 'Arriben les Pirates!'
13:30 children's theater: 'Beuratges per a somiar despert'
19:30 concert - the Tobairitz group will perform a medieval lyrical repertoire

Saturday, 8 May
11:30 storytelling by Àngels Martínez: 'Contes Medievals d’aquí i d’allà'
13:30 medieval musical show by Davinia Van Praag Dance Academy
17:30  medieval and Renaissance dance by the Centro de Danza and Estudio Capricorn
20:30 concert by the Nouveau Quartett, with songs, fantasies and dances by minstrels and courtiers

Sunday, 9 May
11:30 storytelling by Àngels Martínez: 'Contes Medievals d’aquí i d’allà'
19:00 oriental dance show, a journey through dance, from the Maghreb to Saudi Arabia, with original costumes from each country

People interested in attending the shows can buy tickets, with a symbolic price of 2 euros, on www.eivissa.es. The proceeds of the tickets will go to the Red Cross.

In addition to the shows, the Madina Yabisa Interpretation Center has organized guided visits of Dalt Vila with information about the medieval walls for 8 and 9 May 8 from 10:00 to 14:00. Participants in these visits, which will have limited capacity, will receive as a gift the book 'De la fortificació de Yviça' by F. Cobos and A. Cámara.
