we stayed with our 3 and 4 year old at the beginning of June 2011.
The hotel is ideally situated - walk through the pool, on to the promenade and then the beach. no roads to cross, easy to walk back covered in sand ... perfect. Santa Eulalia is an excellent resort - lots of nice restaurants, bars, shops, a port and lovely beach. Good buses around the island and the boat to Ibiza Town is excllent.
The room was a standard 1 bed apartment. we paid 30E extra on arrival for a pool / seaview. Probably a better view but a bit more noise. I'd check out the first room they offer you before you decide to change. The room was spotless, the cleaners came every day and were excellent.
The hotel entertainment was good - lots of daytime activities for adults and children, and a mix of evening entertainment.
We stayed half board. The food was okay - breakfast was great, evening meal okay. Not as good as eating out at a restaurant, but a good choice and definitely cheaper.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
In the resort eat at Kuala Restaurant on the prom next to the waterwheel fountain - best menu of the day at lunchtime (not the cheapest but best choice and portion size).
In the evening try Mariners near the river - evening cabaret and a soft-play area for the kids. Happy days
For small children there is a new park behind the port.
Overall, we had a fantastic week in a good hotel for a decent price. We'd certainly go back.

Very good location,also good facilities, fairly basic but clean and adequate rooms. We would have no hesitation in recommending or using Hotel Orquidea again. 8 out of 10 points.

Have stayed at here five times over the years, great location on the beach front, have stayed in different apartments but rate the sea view the best worth spending the extra not eaten in the restaurant as we go out in the evening plenty of others places to eat near by however had lots of snacks from poolbar which have been ok, good size pool for kids and adults and lots of entertainment for both rooms are fairly spacious depending which one you stay in always clean with everything you need for self catering staff all friendly and helpful,could do with an upgrade of soft furnishings but apart from that would recommend this aparthotel central to town and buses too.
