An overall good stay here. Very enjoyable, with a good enough size basic rooms.

Didn't try the food and pools ok. Most of the staff were pretty good but there was one guy who was excellent and so helpful, he let us use the apartment during the day (before a late night flight) and didn't even charge us.

Nice and spacious apartments - and a great location. Great value for money.

We had an excellent time at Mar Y Playa : it wasa nice appartment with a view on the beach. The staff was friendly and we didn't get bothered the morning after we went out. In that case the room was cleant in the afternoon. We would recommend Mar Y Playa to people who like a quiet place, but not too far from the action. Figueretas is an ideal location for people who like different things : We visited the island, went to the beach and combined it with a bit of nightlife. When we return to Ibiza it will be at Mar Y Playa again. Lou and Danielle

Good large rooms. Good location only a 20 min walk along the beach to Bora Bora, Space etc. Its a pretty quiet area but good to have that in a way. Pool is good too.

Great place. Got top floor back from the beach but still with a view so nice and bright and pretty quiet. Will definitely go back. Staff friendly but one of the bar staff was pretty surly all the time. Nice pool and close to everything so very happy with the choice.

A very pleasant stay. Staff are friendly and helpful. Swimming pool not the largest but then it is situated right on the beach front. The one thing missing was a couple of English speaking tv channels or music channel.

We holiday in Ibiza every year and have done for over twenty years. Most of these holidays have been spent at the Mar y Playa apartments and we go back year after year. The staff are excellent, speak good english and nothing is too much trouble. The apartments are recently renovated and are comfortable. There is lots to do with a short distance but probably not too much for small children and the pool at Mar y Playa 1 is not child friendly but the beach is right outside the apartments across a pedestrian promenade.I don't want to give too good a review or it will become difficult to get booked next year !

Ok people, this place is awesome. this will be my 3rd stay here. the location is unbeatable. the sea views are just breathtaking, morning and night.
furnishing is a bit old but reliable and clean.
the only thing i can think about is that i would gladly pay a bit extra for AC in the sea view rooms.
aside from all that the best part of Mar Y Playa are the staff. kind, smiley and always helpfull.
very very recommended.

Nice, clean hotel with friendly staff. Figuertas is superbly located. 2 mins from a very relaxed stretch of beach with a good set of cheap restaurants on the waterfront.
20 minutes walk into town, 20 minutes to Playa d'en Bossa. The boat to Formentera leaves from just outside the hotel.
Would definately stay here again.

We had a beach view studio apartment. It was very clean & the view was fantastic. The pool was nice & the beach great for swimming & sunbathing.
There is a good selection of restaurants a few minutes walk along the beach promonade. It is about a 15 minute walk or 5 minute bus ride to Playa den bossa or Bora Bora. Thank you - we will be back next year!

It is right on the beach, has a helpful staff, clean room, and has a nice pool. I would rate it about 2.5 / 5. Try to get a room with a view of the ocean if possible.

We stayed at the Mar y Playa Apartments in August 2006. We did not take a flat with a sea view but one the newest with A/C. The apartment was very clean, had a good size and was confortable (Washing machine, TV, etc..).
Staff was increadably nice during our staying and the cleaning was matching our schedules!
We recommend these apartments to some of you who want to go to parties and relax in a quieter area!

I rate Mar Y Playa apartments a 5 out of 5 for the following reasons:

- fantastic location, basically right on the beach.

- even though it's a mix of young people and families, it was quiet and restful with no rowdy trouble makers

- the receptionists (who may also be owners, not sure?) speak excellent English and were extremely helpful and friendly

- the standard of accommodation is high: apartments are very nice inside, bathroom and kitchenette were brand new, kitchen was well equipped with matching plates/cups etc, all the dishes were stainless steel and there was even a brand new non-stick frying pan. They even remember small things like kichen towelle, pasta drainer, bottle opener. The stove was excellent (normally, it would take you a day to boil an egg) and the fridge had a small freezer bit where you could keep the ice tray.

- the balcony was large and well positioned above a swimming pool.

- maid service was every day

- the key is a card so it was very secure (not one of the those were previous year's visitors could have made a copy of the key)

- provides safe deposit and air condition at a small extra cost

All in all I will definitely be going back. Hope this helps, if you have any questions feel free to email me.

When we arrived at the apartment I was shocked to see how massive the roof terrace was. A fantastic apartment which I would recommend to anyone. Staff was always helpful. If I return to Ibiza I will definitely be returning here.

Overall very impressed with this hotel for the money. Location is good for beach, and old town and salinas is 10mins taxi ride away. First night we were able to book taxis via hotel reception. For no reason the next two nights of our stay we were not alowed, and 11 or us had to walk the streets to find taxis - not impressed! However, rooms were spacious and sea views were worth it. Bit disappointed that one of our party had a room on the other side of the road - the hotel has more than one building. Shared pool on beach is much better than the one at our hotel. staff are freindly. breakfast selection was good also.

Great apartments, clean and modern. Great location. Great cleaners (a good laugh!) and fantastic service from the reception staff. It's rare you find somewhere so good. The apartments aren't expensive either. I completely recommend the place and we will use it again for our future trips! John

Cant praise the staff and the accommodation enough. This is the 5th time at Mar y Playa and we couldnt posssibly think of staying anywhere else. The upgraded rooms are superbly kitted out and the location and amenities are first class.
