Always very pleased with this hotel, we go back every year. I hope that it stays just as it is. Simple but good.

The rooms and the inside of the hotel are a bit basic and dated, but this is far outweighed by the location and the outdoor dining areas of the hotel. You step straight out onto the most amazing beach, practically sitting on it while you have breakfast. The food in the restaurant for lunch was very very good, amazing salads and seafood, in a lovely chilled out terrace with white drapes and lovely design. Location is perfect for Pacha, close enough to ibiza town. Really enjoyed our stay. xxx

Hostel location is ok, communal areas were very nice and sitting outside at the restaurant/bar overlooking the beach was lovely. Rooms were basic but clean, can't comment on value for money as I haven't stayed anywhere else in ibiza.

We loved the place, people were really friendly.
The breakfast great, the coffee a bit bad.
The ground floor rooms a bit sticky.

Ibiza: Young, vibrant, happeningNot in Hostal Talamanca. Right on the beach, and overlooking Talamanca bay one down from Ibiza town, Hostal Talamnca offers a welcome rest to Ibiza's noise and energy.Arriving back from a night in the town and passing the Hostals ever friendly army of topless sunbathing pensioners was a surreal and highly enjoyable part of the trip. Add to this a great bar which pors scourn on the principle of measures, and an excellent restaurent, and the Talamanca comes highly recommended.Seafront rooms essential.

The Hostel Talamanca was spot on thank you very much. The staff at receiption were great, very helpful and friendly. The greatest plus to the hostel is its location to the beach(on the beach itself). The rooms were good and spot on if you get a sea view and a balcony. I will definetly stay there again,oh and its cheap. Also its close to get the boat to the port and back at night but far away to feel your on a beachy type holidayish. The restaurants on Talamnca are great to. You can also walk home from Pasha if thats your bag. All in all a big thumbs up from me.

We just returned from a wonderful and relaxing honeymoon in Ibiza. We stayed at the Talamanca Hostel. It has a laid back apperance and feel to it. Although lacked the waves and rugged nature of beaches on other side of island, beach is classy, picturesque, has beautiful sunrises and is nice and safe. We had originally booked for just one week, having planned to stay in the North of Ibiza in 2nd week, but changed our minds when we saw the location and the sea view from our balcony. It was no problem for them to accomodate us for another week in same room. Ibiza is not a cheap holiday and the hotel was slightly more than we would normally pay per night as we usually go self catering and budget, but for a special holiday it was worth it. We hired a car, joined a gym and generally did our own thing, using the hotel as a base. At night we mainly took the ferry to Ibiza town and found some economical and typical local restaurants. We had drinks in the bar and in the adjoining somewhat eccentrically run beach bar a few times and although we ate in the restaurant on only a couple of occasions, when we did the food was good. Cleaners great- rooms were spotlessly clean and got new towels every day. Found the night porter nice and friendly when returning from our occasional - being a bit older we managed only 2 clubbing nights- late night/early morning excursions. There appeared to be many regular guests who knew each other-particularly german- and although we didn't get around to joining in, the hotel's own social occasions looked fun. All in all would recommend the hostel particularly for its location - beachfront, but near to Ibiza town and Pacha - and easy to drive all over the island which is really well worth exploring. Loved Ibiza and will return.

Great location etc as previous reviews.
I was put in a first floor sea view twin room as my single was not ready - this was fabulous, superb value for money. But the next day I went into my single room on the ground floor. This was very small, on the road side & therefore very noisy. So I moved again the next day to a first floor twin. Again, no sea view but perfectly adequate for the money.
In short I recommend paying a bit extra for the sea view twin as these are by far the best rooms. Apart from the single room, this hotel is OK.

This is a great place to stay if you don’t plan on spending too much time in your room.
It is a short walk to Pacha, El Divino and the taxi boat to the Old Town.
Ask for a room that looks out on to Talamanca Bay…fantastic sunrises if you make it home in time!!
Rooms are fairly basic but well kept and always clean.
I will definitely use this as a base for future Ibiza excursions.

great value for money, what a fantastic situation, had my 50th birthday lunch there, one of best paellas ive ever had, and right on the beach.

Where am I?

Hi Rob, to the best of our knowledge the new owners have only made one adjustment and that is by giving the option to book a room with a sea view, instead of taking pot luck. And making a small charge for the option. (Did the 4* hotel have such a view?). Either way just keep on coming back and enjoying our Island.
