On the beach within walking distance of Ibiza Town - what's not to like?
It's fairly rudimentary, and not particularly cheap, but admittedly that's a lot to do with the exchange rate us Brits have to suffer against the euro at the moment.

Hostal Talamanca is fantastic for what it is - a 2 star hotel, right on the beach, 20 minutes from Ibiza town! Most of all it's cheap as chips! Some of the rooms are very small and only 2 of these have baths and double beds (the rest have twins and showers). If you ask for a sea view room upstairs, you will get a balcony and a beautiful view. The whole hotel is spotless and the service is friendly. You do get a lot of local trade here (especially in low season), so I recommend making a bit of effort to be nice to the staff and once they like you, you're set. Food is OK - buffet breakfast and good seafood/pizza/pasta for lunch/dinner. There's a free car park directly opposite, which came in handy. The best thing about this hotel though is the final bill! The value for money for what you get is phenomenal. I will always stay at this hotel when travelling to Ibiza.

We decided a week in Ibiza would be the perfect getaway for our last week in spain, with really knowing little about the island we chose the Talamanca Hostel and were plesently surprised when we arrived. Just a walk or water taxi away from the pulse and action of Ibiza town but far enough away for a quiet nights sleep and a nice breakfast on the beach the next morning. Good vibes every evening and a kind front desk staff to answer all our questions. On our next trip from California to Spain we will most certantly check in to Talamanca Hostel!

I could not believe that I was actually in a hostel. The service was great, everyone was so accommodating and helpful. If you needed anything the people at the front desk were sure to help. We got everything from restaurant recommendations to bar recommendations, to advice on where to rent scooters. It was a really fun and relaxing atmosphere. You're right on the beach and only a 15 minute walk from all of the night life that Ibiza is so famous for. It rained one night we were there so instead of walking into town we decided to go to the hostel bar and we had so much fun with the bartender and the local people who were hanging out there that we wound up going back there the next day. The food in the restaurant smelled and looked amazing, unfortunately it was a little pricy for a college student budget. I definitely recommend Hostel Talamanca. It was beautiful and inexpensive and definitely more than worth the money.
