Reviews of the Ferrer Hostel
Budget accommodation in one of the nicest areas of San Antonio, close to the action, yet in a tranquil location.

My girlfriend and I stayed for 5 nights in late September 2010 and had a great time (despite two days of heavy rain!)
The only drawbacks are the lack of air-con and a bit of a climb up the stairs as there's no lift but other than that, brilliant.
Great value for money and the fact that you can use the ace rooftop swimming pool/bar across the street makes it even better. The service is excellent and very friendly, I'd recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Ibiza on a bit of a budget. Superb hostel/hotel and I'll definately be returning.
Oh and its only 5 minutes to the beach, West End and Bus Station - it doesn't get much better!

An excellent hotel (not hostel) for budget travelers who want to stay in the heart of San Antonio (Sant Antoni) in Ibiza.
It's roughly 2 minute walk to everywhere - the West End, the bus station, Pacha, Es Paradis, yet it is relatively quiet at night, except when there are special festivities going on in the street.
It's also difficult to find hotel prices lower than this - there are no hostels in Ibiza as far as I know, and if you want to go cheaper you'll have to either camp or share an apartment with a number of people.
The staff is very nice and helpful, especially John, who does the night shift. Have a chat with him over malt Whiskey and you may learn a bit more about Ibiza than the party scene :)
It's very basic, just two beds, a nice closet, and bathroom. No TV, no A/C - you shouldn't be watching TV in Ibiza anyway and it was cool enough for me in the August if you open the windows. The only complaint I have is that you don't get wireless internet in your rooms; you have to go to the reception/bar area.
Overall, I would recommend to anyone who want to save their money for the expensive club tickets.

Me and a mate stayed at the Hostel Ferrer from the 24th July 2010 for 7 nights. The room was small but comfortable. We had a twin room so it included 2 beds, drawers, a large cupboard, slightly claustrophobic bathroom and a balcony. No air conditioning though, so having the balcony doors open is a must. Even still, the hostel was quiet despite its proximity to the west end, which we were surprised about. The room was cleaned twice while we were there, and there was a safety deposit box if you felt the need to use it, which we didn't.
The reception is at the hotel across the road called the Casa Maria - which our hostel shared a nice pool area with (on the roof of the Casa Maria) and we found the staff to be friendly here. Put your towel down early if you want a sun lounger though!
A word of warning... if you ask an airport taxi driver to take you to the Hostel Ferrer they wont have a clue what you are on about because it doesn't have a sign outside, plus you cant drive up the road - they wont know the road either. Instead ask for the Casa Maria and you might have a bit more luck. In hindsight I'd have printed something off Google maps and taken it with me.
All in all its is a decent no-frills accommodation which i wouldn't think twice about staying in again.

Awesome location, easy to find from the Bus Station. Cheap and clean. Swipe card used to enter building and rooms. Although the street was quiet at night, a few nights were really noisy with late comers coming into the building really loudly - thin walls. Great value for money. Rooms cleaned daily.
