Perfect hotel for 30+ and those who like to party. Rooms very basic, but atmosphere in after hours bar and during days at outside lounge/pool area makes up for it. Not cheap, but would definately stay again.

The staff were absolutely fantastic and lovely. Our room was comfortable but didn't get cleaned on the first day. Also, the door came off it's hinges which was unfortunate as a Nigerian man who was high as a kite kept coming in when we wanted to go to sleep. Overall the facilities in the hotel were great and we had a really good time. I would definitely come back.

This hotel is amazing - The bar is really cool and open till 8am - drinks are expensive though - 2 cocktails cost around 30 euro. The pool area is so nice and the sunloungers are very comfy but get up early to get a good one as there isnt a lot of them which will get the sun all day.The rooms are clean but very small Just big enough to get round the bedand no where to keep two suitcases. The balcony was very big though. Try and request a pool view one though as the others just face a road which isnt very nice. The food served is very nice and good value for money. There isnt much going on in the surrounding area of the hotel but Ibiza town is only a 5 -10 min walk away and Playa den bossa is around 15 min walk.

The Es Vive delivered the holiday we had hoped for. From the minute we arrived at the premises we loved, the atmosphere and surroundings of the decor, very peaceful. All staff were very pleasant and friendly. The tunes during the day were not over powering to spoil your relaxing time at the pool. The food was excellent and as we emailed in advance to request a good room as we were there to celebrate our first aniversary. The hotel didnt let us down. The room was very modern, art decor and spacious.Which was a bonus as we heard some of the room could be small. So big thanks to management and staff for making our 1st wedding aniversary a memorable one. Only wish we had booked for the weekend as the hotel was jumping on the Friday when we left!! However there is always next year!! Hope to go back again..

They have got the marketing here down to a tee! They have make everything so comfortable in the pool area that after a night of clubbing you don't really want to leave the hotel. The service, food and drinks are excellent that before you know it - you have spent the whole day there!

After many trips to Ibiza it was nice to have finally found what we can only describe as the 'hippiest, coolest and friendliest hotel on the island'. Well priced and in an excellent location. Staff, food, music, location... 1010! How many hotel owners out there take time out to chat to their guests and ensure their stay is unforgetable.. Only 'complaint' was that our telly was on blink for a couple of days.... not that we really noticed. No need to look any further for a 1st class hotel!Craig Gema Gibraltar

I stayed at Es Vive on the last night of a 12 day holiday. Initially I was very impressed, liked the vibe and dcor of the building but I found the constant music during the day a little too much as I was out the night before and was looking forward to a relaxing day by the pool before heading back to London the following day.The staff were very friendly and the food was lovely maybe slightly too expensive for what it was and the size of the portions were quite small. All in all I did enjoy the whole experience and would stay there again should I want to let my hair down and party but this is not a family hotel.

The hotel has a good atmosphere, and the DJ at the poolside on a Saturday is great. The breakfast is delicious and relaxing by the pool is enjoyable enough, although it is very small, and you have to get there early to get a bed. The location is great too. However, on the whole, I didn't particularly rate the hotel, and wouldn't stay there again. The drinks in the club, which is very small, therefore only nice to visit in the early hours after a night out, are overpriced, even by Ibiza standards. Although the rooms are clean, they are extremely small, and are quite basic in furnishing and design; not what you'd expect from a boutique hotel. As it is such a small hotel, you have to hope you are staying with a good mixture of ages and like minded people. On our last day, a group of yobs arrived and overtook the pool area. We were thankful it was our last night, as the whole atmosphere changed.

Just a quickie. Anyone who is thinking of going to Es Vive, will not be disappointed. Beautiful hotel, nice food, friendly bar staff, excellent club with fab music, and best of all, you get to meet some lovely people. Will be going again. (Hopefully, sooner rather than later X)

This hotel has positives and negatives; it is in a good location to access most areas of the Island and the nearby beach is lovely.
However...these are some of the most pretentious unfriendly people in the world who stay here (if you don't like being looked up and down don't stay here). Also standard of rooms are basic not boutique. Oh and if you can't sleep through music don't bother, even my earplugs didn't help. A mix of staff also some helpful some frosty.

Spotlight Comments:
The hotel will have completed the renovation of all rooms for Summer 2007.

Would not recommend this hotel if you want to sleep. I was on the first floor and above the club within the hotel, which didn't close until 8am. I did not sleep for 2 out of the four nights I was there. The day staff were moody and not at all helpful, however George was fantastic. If all you want to do is party then this is the hotel for you, however if you want the best of both choose a hotel that allows you to sleep.

Spotlight Comments:
Hotel Es Vive are currently in the final stages of the complete renovation of the hotel and ALL rooms, especially those on the first floor, will be completely upgraded for Summer 2007.

Hotel looks great and is a cool place to hang out. Food is good and service around the pool is wonderful. Very trendy and excellent music.

However, you cannot sleep if there is a music event on (which went on to 8am when I was there). I also was given a room on level 1...this was above the music and I couldn't sleep.

Also not impressed with reception staff who were blunt and off hand. They did very little to help, especially with moving rooms as it was too noisy, not flexible with late check out (which we needed to get some sleep after 8am) and they couldn't book us a taxi so that we could catch our plane on time. That made it stressful as we had to walk down the streets with our luggage hoping some taxi would stop. Eventually someone who wasn't a taxi took us to the airport.

Cool hotel to visit for day/party. Food and service around pool excellent.

Wouldn't recommend staying overnight again. My friend had a double room at higher level and they could still hear music, and said they wouldn't want to stay there again as we need some sleep.

WE VISIT IBIZA AT LEAST TWICE A YEAR, HAD A BALL. THE ES VIVE IS THE PLACE TO STAY ON THIS SIDE OF THE ISLAND, HOWEVER WE FEEL WE PAID WAY OVER THE TOP FOR DRINKS ETC, ALSO WE HAD THREE ROOMS ONLY ONE OF WHICH CAME ANYWHERE NEAR OUR EXPECTATIONS !!

Was a nice place to stay but bit dissappointed with the room we had. They were clean but very plain and basic. I expected it to be a bit better done out, bit funky maybe but it was plain as day. The pool area was nice and the staff were all friendly. Bit of a nightmare getting taxis from there in the evening, we got reception to call them for us each time and each time we waited at least 30 minutes, one night we waited an hour and fifteen minutes and were really late for a table booking. That is not the fault of the hotel though, just a bit irritating. The food in the bar was lovely and friendly waitresses, bit pricey though for a bottle of water.
Overall, good place to stay though, and obviously ibiza is always good! Check out L'elephant, its on the road to San An! Amazing!

Location is practical, but parking around the hotel a bit of a hassle. The public areas (pool, bar) are very nice, but the room I stayed in (a single) was a shoe box and definitely not worth the money. You will also find a large number of people who will be drinking (fairly heavily) at the pool in the afternoon.
