My brother and I enjoyed our stay at Cala Nova. However, although we arrived late we did not receive credit for the meal that we were unable to take that night. We were also not allowed credit for evening meals that we could not take at other times. Therefore we would not stay again. Also hotel rates were raised once hotel was full as we were single occupancy. This was after our booking had been confirmed.
THerefore hotel could be better.. not customer friendly.

Great hotel, good location if you like it quieter. 10 mins on the bus to Santa Eulalia.
Food great, room good, staff friendly and helpful.

We found the hotel to be very good value for money. We went for a long weekend in October and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We'd be very happy to make a return visit.

Whilst this hotel wasn’t our first choice (the Don Carlos in Santa Eulalia had closed early) the offer of 4 nights half board at 50 euros a night was too good to pass up. I’d requested a room with a double bed instead of twin beds, and a sea view, both of which we had (although to be honest, I think most of the rooms would have had SOME sort of sea view). The room was fine, plenty of pillows, a neat little balcony, fully equipped bathroom, plus tv & a safe in the wardrobe. There was a third bed which could have been pulled down from a cupboard, and this would have made the room a bit cramped. As others have mentioned, you have to pay 4 euros a day for the safe to work, and you also have to pay a 10 euro deposit for a tv remote control (something we didn’t find out until the last day).
Breakfast is served to 10.30 am & there’s more to eat than anyone could possibly want (the same thing goes for dinner, which is served from 6.30 to 9.30pm). The food was good, lots of choice and plenty of it.
I suspect that in high season the hotel would be very busy, but out of season it was all quite relaxed. The staff were friendly, the rooms cleaned daily & there was a programme of some kind of entertainment each evening. The hotel itself is located at the end of Cala Nova beach & there’s not much else in the immediate vicinity, but ten minutes stroll brings you into Es Cana, which has plenty of bars & cafes.
